Grand Country Lakeside RV Park Reviews

Many of the RVers who have stopped for a day at Grand Country Lakeside RV Park on Grand Lake in northeast OK enroute to other destinations, have stayed for a week and come back for a month and some made Grand Lake their home

This place is all about peace and quiet, and it really is right on the lakeshore. We enjoyed sitting in the shade of a tree, looking at the lake and listening to the many birds singing. The park is older and kind of rustic, but it has what you need. We had 50 amp full hookups and a space long enough for our 40-foot MH. Owners are super people and know the area well. Any of the several resort towns in the area are a short drive away, but you feel really secluded in the park. Verizon cell and internet worked. If we are back in the area, we will definitely stay here.   John Allender

My husband and I have spent several summers here. It's a lovely, well kept park with  excellent view of lake and very peaceful. This is especially true since the park became "Over 50" a few years ago. Campers are friendly and respectful of others and park rules. The rare exceptions are addressed by the owners to maintain the beauty, safety or enjoyment  of the park for the guests. The owners, Kathi & Erv are the nicest, most helpful people ever.  They truly want your stay to be a happy experience. Come visit, enjoy the park and area activities & attractions!  We certainly do!  Marla Urban

I stayed one week with a couple of little dogs.  The staff was very helpful with EVERYTHING, whether it was RV repairs, local attractions, backing my trailer in or the hiking trail right next door. They have a beautiful view of Grand Lake, pull-through and back-in spaces (large), lots of beautiful grass and trees. It's not like other parks that feel like you're crammed into one big parking lot. The biggest asset for me was that it was QUIET, as well
as peaceful and serene. My brother stopped by to visit and he liked it as well. When I'm back in that neck of the woods, I will definitely stay there again! We camped at Grand Country RV Park (50+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

We've parked our trailer here for the last two summers. Under a big tree and a beautiful hibiscus just out side our door. Erv & Kathi are the best - they would even go turn our A/C on so our trailer would be cool when we came up after work on a Friday!  Adults, no noisy four wheelers and the most beautiful view of Grand Lake ever. I can feel my blood pressure drop before we even get our trailer set up. Peace, quiet and fine people.  DA Hudson —

Beautiful view of the lake, quiet area, great friendly hosts, nice place to sit in the shade and kick back.

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful, relaxing place from which to enjoy N.E. OK. Grand Lakes.   Priscilla and Les

upon returning to Texas, Sam and Carole write:   ...
guess that I (we)  do miss Grand Lake.  You know last year in 08' we spent a week with you folks.  So this year when we decided to head back to Texas, we purposely came your way with intentions of stopping for a week.  Well, it was too good to leave, so as you know, we spent seven weeks and enjoyed everyday of it.  We have and will continue to tell everyone here at wilderness Lakes what a great campground you have.  Right on the lake, great fishing, with all conveniencies within a few minutes' drive, and nice quiet evenings make Grand Lake the perfect spot.

The RV Park is located, not in Afton, but right on the shore of The Grand Lake of The Cherokees. It has many trees and lots of grass, with gravel parking sites. The sites are very well spaced and roomy. Very nicely kept Park with the owners living on site. They are very helpful, wonderful folks. It is an over 50's Park and is very friendly and quiet. There is no on site laundry, but a self serve laundry is just a couple of miles down the road.
