Wake to the sounds of birds singing and relax to their songs throughout the day. Geese waddle by, pelicans float past & occasionally an eagle is spotted
on the shoreline.
We are a pet-friendly park as long as pets follow the rules which are based
on consideration of others in the park...pets must be pre-approved...

The Grand Country is a quiet park located in northeast Oklahoma
on Grand Lake next to a nature preserve.
We are a 1/4 mile from the highway, so most days you wake up to the sound of birds.
Many birds visit us including the scissortail, hummingbirds, bluebirds, oriales, cardinals, goldfinches, ...you get the picture, we're never sure who's going to visit...
so it's a great place for bird watching
along the shore you can see egrets, herons, pelicans
and occassionally a bald eagle. There is appr 640' of shoreline
in the park and if you're adventurous, you can continue your bird
watching walk along the shore of the nature preserve adjacent to the park.
There is a paved nature trail adjacent to the park
which leads to a nature center that shows a lot of the local birds,
animals, trees and wildfloweres .
The nature trail is appr 1/2 mi to nature center.
The nature center has a fenced area where birds and animals
are kept for recuperation.
Seen there in the past were owls, racoons and fawns
